2020 SSF Deer Hunting Season Announced

The Southern Sportsmen Foundation has announced their 2020 deer hunt schedule for white tail deer. The two hunts are specifically for those persons who have a severe mobility impairment, and/ or a life-threatening illness.

SSF President Mike Cranford explains:

The youth “Hunt of a Lifetime” will be held near Mineral Springs, AR November 6th through November 8th, 2020 at Starch Creek Hunting Club.  This event is for youth hunters up to 18 years old.

Youth hunters must be able to arrive by 3:00 PM on November 5th for a pre-hunt orientation & must be accompanied by at least one parent or legal guardian.

The adult hunt nicknamed the “Redneck Safari” will be held near Foreman, AR November 18th through 20th, 2020.

Adult hunters must be able to arrive by noon on November 17th and are welcome to bring a non-hunting companion.  Six (6) disabled hunters and two (2) alternates will be drawn for this event.  Every year hunter’s have had numerous shot opportunities with most hunters bagging a deer.

For both hunts lodging, meals & license will be provided by the foundation.  However, hunters will be responsible for their travel expense.  Hunters born after December 31, 1968 & at least 16 years old must possess a valid hunter’s safety card.  All hunt applications must be received by September 1, 2020.  Hunters chosen will be notified by September 30, 2020.  For your convenience an application is attached to this message or you may go to our website at www.sharingtheoutdoors.com
