Texarkana Texas Police Department is seeking the assistance of any eyewitnesses or anyone with information about a shooting at Oaklawn Village. At 6:00 pm tonight, two individuals exchanged gunfire with a stray bullet striking a thirty-three-year-old man in the chest who happened to be within fifty yards of violet dispute. The victim is in critical condition at Christus St. Michaels Hospital. The shooters fled to the scene immediately. Please help TTPD find justice for the victim. Shooting at Oaklawn Village. Happened just after 6:00 tonight.A 33-year-old man and his wife were getting ice at the self-serve ice machine in the parking lot. He was struck once in the chest by a bullet that is believed to have come from an apparent gunfight between two individuals about 50 yards away in the parking lot.
The victim was transported to Christus St. Michael Hospital in critical condition.
Witnesses said the shooters were black males and immediately fled the scene in two vehicles – one of which was described as a white Ford or Mercury 4-door car. Last seen headed south from the parking lot toward W. 15th Street.
