5 Arrested in Early Morning Vehicle Break In

TAPD responded to a call early this morning regarding two people entering a vehicle. Upon reviewing the surveillance footage, TAPD Officer Tubbs was able to request assistance locating a dark-colored sedan and other identifying details. Officer McCool and AGFC Officer saw a vehicle matching the description and made contact. Five suspects are now in custody, two adults and three juveniles. We have complete details to follow.

On 07/28/2022, Patrol Officers with the Texarkana, AR Police Department arrested five subjects for Breaking or Entering of a Vehicle. Jin McQuinn, 19 years of age, and Devoia Jackson, 18 years of age, were transported to the Miller County Jail. Three juveniles, two 15 years of age and one 17 years of age, were transported to the Miller County Juvenile Detention Center.

Officers had responded to a 911 call around 3:20am indicating 2 subjects had entered a vehicle parked at a residence in order to commit a theft. Officer Tubbs responded and was able to review the victim’s surveillance footage. The footage showed 2 subjects entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and then ran to a waiting dark colored 4 door sedan, which then left the scene. Officer Tubbs relayed the vehicle information and clothing description of the suspects to other officers via radio. Additional Officers responded to the area in an attempt to locate the suspects.

Officer McCool, along with a Wildlife Officer from Arkansas Game and Fish, were sitting stationary in the area and observed a blue Toyota Corolla leaving the residential area the crime occurred in. Officer McCool and the AGFC Officer made contact with the vehicle occupants and determined it was occupied by 5 subjects. Two of the subjects were positively identified as the subjects that entered the victim’s vehicle. Officers also located articles associated with burglarizing vehicles hidden in the vehicle. All occupants were arrested for Breaking or Entering of a Vehicle.
