84 Confirmed Cases of Covid-19 in 3 County Area

The number of confirmed Coronavirus cases continues to slowly creep up.According to local officials with more testing being done, the number as of Tuesday morning is 84, with 51 in Bowie County, 27 in Miller County, and 6 in Cass County.

Here is the breakdown from both the Bowie County Joint Operations Center, and Miller County Judge Cathy Hardin Harrison:

TX—Bowie County Emergency Operations Center reports a total of 51 positive
COVID-19 cases, with five related deaths. Cass County has a total of six positive cases
confirmed, with three of those recovered.

From Texas Governor Greg Abbott:

Governor Greg Abbott today announced that Goldman Sachs and the LiftFund, along with
other community development financial institutions (CDFIs), are partnering to provide $50
million in loans to small businesses in Texas that have been affected by COVID-19 as part of
the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. These loans, made through the U.S.
Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), will primarily be
used for payroll so that employees can continue to receive paychecks and small businesses can
retain their employees and will be partially or wholly forgiven. More information can be found
