Construction is to begin Monday August 17th on the widening project for Interstate 30 from Nash to the Arkansas state line.
The Texas Department of Transportation says the initial work will be on the interstate’s shoulders and that most of that work will be done at night.
The project overall is to widen the Interstate to 6 lanes, three in both direction from a half mile west of FM 989 (Kings Highway) to the Arkansas state line.
The project is expected to take up to 4 years to complete.
