The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is now requiring all residents on city water in Hooks, along with Burns Red Bank to boil your water, before use, and consumption. This is due to a water main break in the system.

You may either boil water for drinking, cooking, making ice, washing face & hands, brushing teeth…or you may also purchase bottled water for personal use. Boil water for two minutes at a rolling boil, then allow the water to cool.

A public notice will be released when the water is no longer required to be boiled.

For more information, call Andria Whitehurst at City Hall at 903-547-2105.
