The Texarkana Texas City Council meets this evening at 6pm to talk upcoming budgets and the speed limit on portions of Summerhill Road.

Here is the complete agenda for this evening’s meeting:

The City Council reserves the right to convene into closed session on any agenda item or issue
should the need arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by the Texas Open Meetings
Act (Title 5, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code).

If the City Council convenes into closed session, they will reconvene in one hour or less to take
any final action, decision, or vote on a matter deliberated in closed session.

3. Amended Order of Election for the City’s November 2, 2021, General Election for the
purpose of electing a Mayor, a Council Member for Ward One (1) and a Council

4. Ordinance No. 2021-058 making technical corrections to Ordinance No. 2021-046,
amending Chapter 12, Section 12-3, Subdivision 1, of the Code of Ordinances, to
establish Goree Academic Learning Center, located at 3201 Lincoln Avenue, as the
