Karen Huff | Learn More About Conduct Disorder

Conduct Disorder is a brain abnormality with no known causation or correlation to a specific event; however, it does manifest itself in apathetic behaviors with disregard to social norms, often leading to adult personality disorders.

Compass provides several outreach programs, support, and awareness programs. We provide resources and hope to families struggling with CD and we are developing an early childhood program for children 2-5 who display behaviors associated with CD. If we cannot find a resource, we create it. We have an online support group for parents/caretakers and adult siblings, a crisis buddies program, parent and child advocacy for specific situations (court appearances, school meetings, CPS interviews, etc.). The Compass Peer Network allows professional volunteers to speak with their counterparts in other locations to gain knowledge about CD, using the lingo distinctive to the agencies involved. We also have an awareness and information group for people who want to learn more but do not have a child with CD.

This organization is located in New Boston, TX with satellite offices in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Don’t suffer in silence.
