We were thrilled to have one of our all time favorite friends from the community back on the morning show. Greg Beck with the Vietnam Veterans of America #278 came on the radio to talk about the 23rd Annual Veteran’s Benefit Chili Cook-Off, which is Friday February 17th from 11am to 1pm at the Truman Arnold Center on the campus of Texarkana College.
For just an $8 donation you can come taste all the homemade chili you can eat, with at least 19 different recipes being served. Door prizes will be given away as well. All proceeds benefit the Texarkana Area Veterans Council as they assist local veterans, and when needed purchase a van to transport them to Shreveport or where needed.
Greg also touches on several upcoming fun events scheduled, including the Wagons for Veterans in March.
