Tuesday, September 22nd, is the first day of fall. Can pumpkin spice, cooler weather, fall leaves, and filling those Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes, be far behind?

Samaritan’s Purse, a ministry that oversees Operation Christmas Child, has announced that National Collection Week is November 16th through 23rd. Registration to volunteer to assist OCC is September 30th through October 2nd.

If you’ve not heard of Operation Christmas Child, here’s the scoop.

For many boys and girls, the items prayerfully packed inside these colorful shoeboxes will be the first gifts they have ever received. Come join us to prepare these precious packages for international shipment and discover the joy of sharing God’s love with children in need.

Please know that we are monitoring local, state, and national guidelines and making adjustments to help protect the health of those involved in processing shoeboxes at all of our locations. Periodically check our COVID-19 landing page for updates.

This is a worldwide ministry, that has many Ark-La-Tex churches gathering items, helping to put together shoeboxes, even hosting fundraisers, to send those shoeboxes around the globe.

If you would like to become an OCC volunteer, or send a shoebox this year, please go to the Samaritan’s Purse page
