Get Out and Walk

We are seeing many posts on social media now, about cooking. The majority of the posts are about baking bread, making homemade pizzas, and other delicious foods. Then shortly after those are put up, here come the ones discussing ‘watching Tiger King and eating WAY too much these days.’ Since the local gyms are closed? Get out and walk.

Out in the country, we don’t have walking trails, but we do have those trusty Farm-to-Market roads. Even now during the shelter in place order, those FMs are busy with truckers and other vehicles. So, where are good places to walk? We reached out to one of the longest-standing groups of the Barbell Butterflies…the TC Morning Crew.

One lady told us, “My husband and I walk around our neighborhood.”  And that’s really good. What if you want to keep up with how far you’ve walked, and you don’t have a FitBit or some such contraption? Our BB friend Chris suggests the Spring Lake Park Walking Trail. She says,

Everyone tends to smile and nod. For the most part, they must be to the side of walking trail, which looks  to be about 8–10 feet wide.

The Trail is 1.75 miles around the park, and is for walking, jogging, running, and biking.

There are several other options for getting a walk in, burning off some of that home cooking, and feeling better about oneself.  Also, we can do that Social Distancing thing. Where do you like to walk? Please let us know.
