Happy National Administrative Assistants Day

With offices closed down, or at the very least, running skeleton crews now, thanks to ‘The Rona”, we didn’t want to let the day go by without pointing out this is National Administrative Assistants Day.

This has been National Administrative Professionals Week, all week long, by the way. Since 1952, this week and Wednesday has been celebrated in the USA, during the last week of April. This used to be referred to as National Secretary’s Week and Day, but since Assistants/Professionals are both male and female, that change was made to include all, twenty years ago.

Since we all pretty well forgot this day and week, how can we show our office or business Administrative Assistants the love? Certainly, gifts are appropriate, even if your Administrative Professional is at home binge-watching ‘Ozark’. Flowers, gift certificates, gift baskets, candy, or lunch, delivered to their home, would definitely be appreciated. Have one of those traveling yard sign crews put the letters ‘Thank You, (fill in the blank) in the front yard. Even a donation to a favorite charity in your AP’s name, will be a nice gesture.

Around here, we pretty much consider Anna Pink to be our Administrative Professional…even though she is a heck of a lot more than that. Her efforts keep AMI-Texarkana afloat. In Joplin, MO, our AP’s are Cat Pike-Whitney and Beth Sandefur. They are on top of all things for all of us in our company.

Happy National Administrative Professionals Week to Anna, Cat, Beth…and to YOU, too!
