Christmas has unfortunately come and gone for another year. It’s now time to turn our attention to a new year.

Not only a new year, but a new decade as we enter the 2020’s. A yearly tradition for many is the New Year Resolutions. According to the history books, the Babylonians were the first to practice these resolutions, although theirs were directed to pagan gods.

Modern day resolutions, are more geared to improving ones self. I have found it’s better to set broad goals, rather than absolute specific resolutions.

Here would be a list of the goals I hope to obtain or maintain in 2020:

Eat a more balanced, and healthier diet

Try to be a bit more physically active and less sedentary

Be slow to anger and quick to forgive

Spend more time reading God’s word and in prayer

Helping those in need and continue being active in the community

Spending as much quality time as possible with my teenagers

Whether you set broad goals like me, or specific resolutions, I hope you obtain what you long for in the coming year, and I wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year and new decade!!!

Can you believe it’s been 20 years since Y2K????
