TAPD Seeking Help Solving College Hill Shooting

We have an update on this open case from Texarkana Arkansas Police Department.

An update on the shooting in the 700 block of Artesian Street.
We received information on some online media outlets listing some individuals as suspects. We wanted to update the community on what we know at this time.
A person of interest, Jacob Frix from Atlanta, Texas, was interviewed by Detectives and released. He is no longer a person of interest in this case.
There has been one arrest made today at approximately 3:06 pm. Steven Heinrich Jr. from Texarkana, Texas, was arrested and charged with two charges, Unlawful Discharge of a firearm from a vehicle causing death or serious physical injury to another person, and Battery in the 1st Degree. He was transported to the Miller County Jail and booked in without incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and our Detectives are still following up on leads.

Last Wednesday, March 30, 2022, TAPD responded to a residence in the College Hill area regarding a shooting. Officers arrived at the scene to find a victim on the ground suffering from what appears to be several gunshot wounds. The victim remains in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit at an area hospital. Texarkana Arkansas Police Department seeks your assistance regarding this matter. On March 30, 2022, around 9:37 pm, officers responded to a residence in the 700 block of Artesian Street in Texarkana, Arkansas, due to an individual being shot.

When the officers arrived, they found the victim lying on the ground and bleeding from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The officers quickly rendered aid and called for an ambulance to respond. Once Life-Net arrived at the scene, the victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The victim is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division were notified and responded to the scene. They began gathering information and collecting evidence. Witnesses identified the suspects as three males driving a white Range Rover.

There have been no arrests made at this time. Detectives are currently investigating all leads and speaking with all witnesses.
