Texarkana Texas Council Takes Up Electricity Rates

The council will consider an ordinance denying the application to increase rates which was filed by SWEPCO back in October of 2020.

XI. CLOSED SESSION

The City Council will convene into closed session pursuant to Texas Government Code
Section 551.071 for a private consultation with the City Attorney and Texas Government
Code Section 551.074 to discuss or deliberate the City Manager’s duties, employment, and
evaluation.

NOTE: The Council does not anticipate taking any action after closed session other than
reconvening in open session and adjourning the meeting. If an agenda item for a future
meeting relates to any matter discussed in this closed session, an opportunity for public
comment will be provided before or during the Council’s consideration of the item.
