Wynonna Judd Gives First In-Depth Interview Since Her Mother’s Suicide

Wynonna Judd has given her first one-on-one interview since her mother, Naomi Judd, took her own life at age 76. Processing the loss has been hard for Wynonna; she says she has moments of anger and still feels her mom with her. Wynonna says sometimes she talks to her and says, “I really miss you.” She goes on tour this week in her mother’s memory. ‘The Judds: The Final Tour’ was supposed to be a reunion for the duo. Instead, a rotating list of country stars will join Wynonna. Her first show is this Friday in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Performing as The Judds, mother Naomi and daughter Wynonna were one of the most successful country music duos in history. In her first interview since the death last spring of her mother, Wynonna Judd talks with correspondent Lee Cowan about using music to keep grief at bay; and about her determination to forge ahead on a tour announced only weeks before her mom died.
