You Can Help Music City Recover From Tornadoes

Nashville, Tennessee suffered two large, long-track tornadoes Monday night. The storms are responsible for 25 deaths so far, many injured, major property loss, power outages not expected to be restored until Friday at the earliest, school closings, and families lives disrupted.

Nashville and its people are known for being resilient, though. Whether it was the major flooding of ten years ago which left over half of the city underwater, another major tornado in 1998 that wreaked similar havoc…the community reared up on its hind legs and got about the business of rebuilding. You’d kind of have to be tough, to be a Nashville musician, or someone linked to the industry, though. It’s not an easy business. Nor is it always easy for those who work at a Waffle House, a grocery store, or in many of the local industries in Davidson County. Not everything revolves around country music.

From all reports, this recovery is going to take time. If you ask anyone around this area, about anyone at all? The majority have a family member, a friend, even an acquaintance, who has some Nashville ties. That is why we are posting ways that you can show support. Even a couple of dollars will help.
