Support 2023 The Santa Store

We wanted to share some exciting news with you about Domestic Violence Prevention, Inc.'s upcoming 2023 Santa Store Christmas program. This program allows DVP's clients to shop for Christmas gifts for their children at no cost, and it's a great opportunity for the community to come together and help make this project a success!

DVP will fill the store with brand new, age-appropriate, and unwrapped toys and items for the parents to choose from. And by donating toys and items for teens or making a financial contribution, we can help provide an entire Christmas for these children in need. How amazing is that?

The Santa Store program builds self-esteem and pride in parents while giving kids a Christmas they can enjoy. With the financial hardships caused by the rising prices of fuel, groceries, and utilities, this program is even more important this year. And we can all make a difference by contributing to this great cause!

Last year, approximately 300 people were served, and DVP expects to serve the same number this year. The agency's goal is to collect $30,000 in donated toys and cash to provide for families in need. And don't worry, if you can't donate new toys, DVP will do the shopping for those who contribute financially.

DVP understands the needs of the families they serve, and they're here to help. The opportunity to shop in the Santa Store will be available to families who have stayed at the DVP shelter or whose parents have received outreach services in the past year. The Santa Store will be in a secure location in the weeks before Christmas.

If you want to donate financially or with new toys, you can drop it off at DVP's office or mail it to them. And if you're not sure what items are needed, don't worry; you can find a list of items that are in high demand on their website, click here to donate online.

For more information, give DVP a call at 903-794-4000. And if anyone needs help escaping a violent situation, they can call the 24-hour crisis line at 903-793-HELP.

Let's come together as a community and make this Christmas special for the children in need!
