Sunday, June 14th, is Flag Day. Flag Day is the day we remember the moment in 1777, when the Second Continental Congress adopted our flag to represent our country.
You’ll notice all of the beautiful American flags, flying at businesses and homes over the weekend. Thanks to Betsy Ross, for sewing the first flag…and a note of thanks to a Wisconsin schoolteacher, Bernard Cigrand, who originated the idea of Flag Day, in 1885. And thanks to these musical artists, who have commemorated the U.S. flag, in song and recitation.
