Medicare enrollment period runs October 15th through December 7th. The Area Agency on Aging, which is part of the Ark-Tex Council of Governments, is here to provide you with free help. The agency is now taking appointments, so that you or your loved one can come in and get your questions answered and get that enrollment or changes to your plan.
The agency has the knowledge of any changes or what might be best for your situation when it comes to your Medicare plan. Maximizing your coverage for the best plan for you is vital and they will take the time to get to know you, your situation and what will work best for you in the coming year.
Appointments are filling up so call 1-800-372-4464 today to get your time slot set. Also remember, when you are getting close to 65 years of age, it's a really good idea, within three months of that date getting set up with the experts to figure out what is the right plans for you, whether you are still working or already retired. There is a penalty that may affect you if you wait past the age of 65, so be sure and get that done.
The Area Agency on Aging also has Care Coordination Services, transportation, residential care options, vaccinations and so much more for those 60 years of age and older.
All services are free. They also have another free event coming up on Tuesday November 1st. It's a Lunch & Learn. Vendors will be there with information and you can get some health checks done, a meal, fellowship, and a guest speaker. 11:00am at the Williams Memorial Methodist Church on Moores Lane in Texarkana Texas.
