It was nice to see one of our favorite guests, friends from the community back in with us on the Morning Show, John, Anna, & Friends. Jennifer from the Randy Sams Outreach Shelter in Texarkana.
She joined us to talk basically about two things. Their core mission and what they do for the homeless in the Texarkana area, and the huge Thanksgiving Day meal which will be served, not only to the homeless, but any economically stressed citizens, who would like to come enjoy a Holiday meal, and some fellowship on Thursday, November 24th.
Jennifer, also talked about how the community can come together and help regarding the Thanksgiving Day Feast.
People are encouraged to either pick up, cook, or bring the ingredients for the Thanksgiving meal to the shelter, which is located at 402 Oak Street in Texarkana, Texas. Also paper products, such as napkins, paper towels, paper plates, plastic silverware, and the like are needed as is, bottled water, along with bottled or canned soft drinks, tea, etc.
Make this a better community by bringing something, or volunteering to help out those amongst us who are less fortunate.
