Always good to have Sgt. Kim Weaver with the Texarkana Texas Police Department with us on the Morning Show, John, Anna, & Friends. Kim has almost 20 years service with the department.
She was on the show to talk about the next Civil Service Exam for possibly joining the police department. You have until December 5th to go online to apply to take the test which will be administered on December 10th.
If you are or will turn 21 years of age by the time the next Police Academy concludes next year, you can apply. Those who have not turned over 45 years of age can also apply.
Taking the written exam is the first process in becoming a member of the Texarkana Texas Police Department.
Sgt. Weaver says there are various steps to be completed before you could be hired and be in the next Academy, which is held here in Texarkana. But she says the process is in place to make sure the department gets the best possible candidates out there to serve our fine community.
