It’s just a tragic situation all around, as a man turns himself in to face charges concerning his dogs and the death of a Miller County woman last month.

Negligent HomicideOn Wednesday, October 11, 2023, Chris Scott turned himself in at the Miller County Sheriff’s Office on the charge of negligent homicide. This charge stems from the investigation that began on September 24, 2023 concerning the death of Brenda Witt. It was determined she was attacked by dogs belonging to Mr. Scott. Miller County detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant through the prosecuting attorneys office. Mr. Scott surrendered himself to detectives without incident.
