Bowie County:
Bowie County Emergency Operations Center reports 47 new cases since Monday, October
5, 2020 for a total of 1,425 positive COVID-19 cases, with 74 deaths. The Department of State Health Services
is reporting 1,059 recoveries.
The EOC has changed the way deaths are reported, to more effectively match the state’s DSHS fatality report, and hopefully eliminate confusion. EOC personnel has matched death certificate information with hospital/care facility reports, and now have verified that 74 Bowie County residents have died due to COVID 19 to date. The website has been updated to reflect this change.
