Easy way to leave germs at the door.

Remember all the times your mom reminded you to take off your shoes when you came into the house? Let’s be honest, it was less of a gentle reminder and more “how many times have I told you to take off your shoes?!” As usual, your mom was right.

Infectious disease specialists say shoes can be a possible source of contamination for the coronavirus, especially if you wear them in grocery stores or use the bus or train. Experts say the virus can live on surfaces for up to five days. They recommend wiping off your shoes with a disinfecting cloth. Unless you already had a supply of disinfecting wipes the easiest thing to do is have your slippers ready at the front door.

Thanks, Mom.
