Sexual assault is not something that most of us like to talk about. It’s just not generally discussed in polite company. However, we can’t let those who commit this terrible crime find refuge while hiding behind our own feelings of discomfort with the subject.
Sexual violence is a crime that comes in many forms and is never the victim’s fault. It doesn’t matter what the victim was wearing or doing, whether the victim had been drinking, or what type of relationship the victim has with the person who is abusing them. We support Sexual Assault Awareness Month and ask that you do it too.
