We were delighted to talk to Vashil Fernandez from the City of Texarkana Texas and the Texarkana Homeless Coalition about the Annual Bridge City Chili Cookoff and fundraiser. The big event is slated for Friday evening January 27th, across from the Salvation Army.
They are seeking chili cookers to enter the contest, which is $25 to enter. There will be trophies awarded. The public will be voting on their choices as well. The event is free to come enjoy the different varieties of chili. You can also purchase raffle tickets at the event for some great prizes that will be given away.
It will be an evening of fun, music, and of course great tasting chili. It will all be to the benefit of our area homeless and those who are struggling. You can better your community and have a great time as well. Check out more about the Texarkana Homeless Coalition.
