The Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is this Saturday May 10. It's put on by the National Association of Letter Carriers. Helping out locally Signature Emergency Care Center, and of course Harvest Texarkana Regional Food Bank.
Michael Purifoy with the local Letter Carriers joined the Morning Show to talk about the big event and how it helps feed people right in our area.
Basically you are asked to please put canned or non-perishable, non glass foods in a bag and leave it next to where your mail is delivered. Do this either early Saturday or Friday night and the letter carriers will pick it up on Saturday when they deliver your mail. It will be distributed to Harvest Regional Food Bank, who will make sure that those in need are taken care of.
