Texarkana is celebrating its 150th birthday with a city-wide event on April 14 through April 15.

On April 14, the time capsule buried in 1973 will be excavated with a public viewing.

On April 15, contents from the time capsule will be available for viewing, followed by an opening ceremony and live musical performances by regional acts.

Celebrate Texarkana’s Sesquicentennial at the Sesquicentennial Twice as Nice Festival with live music food trucks and the display of the Centennial Time Capsule items!
