3rd Annual James Black’s Bowie Heritage Festival
The 3rd Annual James Black’s Bowie Heritage Festival will be held on April 20, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the City of Washington, Arkansas. The event, in partnership with the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Foundation and Historic Washington State Park, aims to celebrate James Black, the bladesmith who created the first Bowie Knife for Jim Bowie in Washington. On Monday, April 22nd , the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center (TCAC) will host a free Stewards of Children training at the Texarkana Texas Convention Center. Lunch will be provided.
