How To Be More Productive

Some days, it is just difficult to get all of those things we plan to do, actually done. And we forget most of the items to-do, on our list…if we even HAVE a list. Most days, I have squirrels, that are on a rave. How do we become more productive?

An online page, Pocket Worthy, gives some strong, yet simple ways to get things done.

The real key to success: working harder and smarter.

According to  Belle Beth Cooper, co-founder of Hello Code, which makes Exist, a cool app that connects all of your services to turn that data into insights about your life, here’s what to do.

  1.  Rework your to-do list. Instead of having ten or six items, just limit to three Most Important Tasks, or MIT’s. Make sure that the tasks are big ones, and do them early. Then you will feel accomplished, and the small stuff will actually BE…small stuff.
  2. Measure results, not time. Break your work down into small pieces. There’s even an app to help with that: iDoneThis
  3. Build habits to help you start working.
  4. Track where and when you waste time. (Oh, no…that’s going to be all-revealing for me)
  5. Build habits to help you STOP working.
  6. Quit while you’re ahead.
  7. Set a firm cut-off time.
  8. Plan something cool to do after work.
  9. Create a wind-down routine.
  10. Take more breaks.

The article gives more information that hopefully helps us all. Good luck!
