Keep Texarkana Beautiful has recently gained their affiliate status with Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB), a statewide community improvement, litter prevention, and beautification organization. KTB is a network of dedicated Texans working together to make Texas the cleanest and most beautiful state in the union. KTB’s programs equip local partners and affiliates with the tools they need to build vibrant, engaged communities.
The mission of Keep Texarkana Beautiful is to educate and engage the Texarkana region in taking responsibility for improving the environment. By joining the KTB affiliate network, Keep Texarkana Beautiful gains access to grant opportunities, free training and education, and the ability to network with affiliate organizations across the state of Texas. Through programs and projects in Texarkana, Keep Texarkana Beautiful will be part of a statewide effort to make Texas the best place to live, work, and play.
Keep Texarkana Beautiful Chair Brittney Haynes looks forward to expanding the
organization’s impact within the community. “We have spent the last couple of years working toward our affiliate status, organizing cleanups, and reintroducing ourselves to the community,” said Haynes. “We invite anyone passionate about beautification to reach out and learn how to get involved.
