Back in 2022, it was announced that Lady A would cancel the rest of their tour so that band member Charles Kelley could get help for his alcoholism. Now, he’s opening up about his journey to that point… and his journey to sobriety. His wife, Cassie, said the breaking point was when they were in Greece – they’d gotten in a fight, and Charles went on a bender and turned off his phone. He flew home and went straight to rehab. He even wrote and recorded a song called “As Far As You Could,” which he calls his “goodbye” letter to booze.
