Liberty-Eylau will host a series of community meetings to discuss district facilities and future plans. The first meeting will be this Thursday, January 28 at 6:30 pm in the High School Library.

Here is the Press Release from LEISD:

In the summer of 2020 WRA Architects completed a comprehensive facility needs assessment of all LEISD campuses. The data and specific recommendations from that assessment will be the primary focus of the community meetings.

“Our goal is to be proactive in engaging our community about the needs of our students and schools,” said LEISD superintendent Ronnie Thompson. “It is important for us to have input from as many people as possible as we plan for the future.”

Thursday’s meeting will include an overview of the needs assessment process and findings as well as a tour of the High School campus.

“Many people haven’t been on campus since they graduated, or if they have they have only been to the football field or Rader Dome,” Thompson said. “This will give everyone a chance to see classrooms including both new and old spaces.”

The facilities assessment from the summer can be accessed on the district website at the link HERE. That page also gives community members the opportunity to sign up to participate and to be included in future communications regarding the process.
