Movies, Movies, Movies

I spent last weekend trying to make Redbox rich. I watched way too many movies this weekend. I got 2 Friday when I left work. Watched one that night and then the other early Saturday. Then I took them back to my local Redbox and got 2 more to watch.

The ones I think you should rent and watch are as follows. “Richard Jewel” the Clint Eastwood produced movie about the Atlanta Olympic bombing suspect who started out as the Hero who discovered the bomb.  “Judy” a movie about Judy Garland and how her real-life was nothing like the Wizard of OZ.  And “Homeless Brooklyn” a movie I’d never heard of that I got it because I saw the preview while watching another movie I had rented.  It’s about NYC and a private eye (Edward Norton…who wrote, produced and directed the movie) who is afflicted with Tourette syndrome.  If you like Who Done It movies you will like this one for sure.

The funny thing about the Homeless Brooklyn movie was the disclaimer at the end that said it was fiction and any connection to any real person was coincidental.  Alex Balwin plays the bad guy in this movie to a tee.

A quick Google search of the main bad guy in the movie turned up a lot of information that seemed to match too close to be a coincidence. So if you like movies dealing with historical figures, I urge you to watch any and all of these movies. And then Google for more information about the characters in the movies.  It will keep you busy for a while I promise you.

Have you rented any movies lately that you would recommend?
