Sadly we report that one of the two victims from the July 29th shooting on Nichols Drive died over the weekend. Bengie Cooper, age fifty-six, passed away at 3:30 pm on Saturday at Wadley Regional Medical Center. As a result, one of the Aggravated Assault charges against Tremayne Ware is upgraded to Murder.
The suspect Tramaine Ware, the victim’s husband, was apprehended on July 29th in Texarkana, Arkansas by TAPD, and is still held in the Miller County Jail. He is expected to be extradited to Texas on Tuesday, and the outstanding felony warrants resulting in Thursday’s shootings will be served at that point.
