A lot of the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department will be sporting new beards next month.

So it’s getting closer to Christmas which means it’s Shop with a Cop time. TAPD will sponsor as many children as possible during the first week of December on a shopping trip to Wal Mart to pick up those Christmas gift wishes. Police officers will be shaving and regrowing or beginning their new beards in an effort to raise funds to support this event. If your business or you personally would like to be involved in this effort, please contact anyone at the police department for instructions on how to participate. You can sponsor one child or as many as you want. We may do a raffle as a fundraiser as well. We’ll let you know as we move along. Our number is (903) 798-3130.
