The Pleasant Grove Hawks baseball team is set to play for the Class 4A Baseball State Championship in Austin.
The Hawks will be taking on Rusk in the title game, with the first pitch slated for 6:30 this evening in the state capital.
Pleasant Grove earned the right to play in the championship by shutting out Stephenville 13-0 yesterday in a game that ended after five innings because of the 10 run rule.
Rusk advanced by defeating Sinton 6-3 in yesterdays other semi-final game.
Pleasant Grove will be trying to win their 1st State Baseball Championship since they won it all back in 2021.
