A Texarkana Texas Police Sergeant has taken a big step in his career.

Here is a Press Release from TTPD:
Congratulations to Sergeant Cody Harris, who recently graduated from the Institute for Law Enforcement Administrations’ School of Police Supervision. The four-week course is designed for first-line supervisors and focuses on the transition from “street policing” to management. Among the topics covered during the course are accountability, conflict resolution, ethics and diversity, leadership styles and communication, and servant leadership.
We are committed to providing the absolute best service possible to our community and believe that continued training and education for all our officers are essential to achieve that. To that end, we provide specialized supervisory training to every officer when they are promoted to sergeant and then a higher level when they are later promoted to lieutenant. It’s an investment in the future of our city and department – an investment that continues to pay dividends for us all in Texarkana.
Cody began his law enforcement career with us in 2011 and served as a patrol officer, neighborhood area coordinator and detective before being promoted to sergeant in 2021.
