A group of students from the Simms, Texas ISD recently volunteered their time to clean up along a Bowie County Roadway.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation some 25 student volunteers spent about 3 hours during Christmas Break picking up almost 50 trash bags worth of litter. It was part of the Adopt-a-Highway Project. This particular project involved sections one mile either side of the Simms High School entrance on Highway 67.
Anyone interested in adopting a section of highway can contact Stephanie Fahrney at 903-799-1202.
