The annual Spirit of Tray award was presented recently to an Arkansas High Razorback senior in Texarkana.

The award this year goes to Michael Roberts.

Here are the details from the Texarkana Arkansas School District:

Trey Varner graduated from Arkansas High School in 2010. Trey was involved in many school activities and loved being the Razorback Mascot. He was an avid fan of the AHS Razorbacks and the University
of Arkansas Razorbacks. Trey had an infectious laugh and a magnetic personality. He was loved by all who knew him. He will be forever missed by his many friends, his loving family, and by all of us.

Today we want to honor his memory and his unwavering love for the Razorbacks by presenting the Spirit of Trey Award. This is the eighth year for us to honor a senior who loves the Razorbacks the way Trey always did. First, we would like to thank Trey’s parents Sandy and Bill Varner, Jr for their continued support and scholarship opportunity for our students.

Now for a little information about our winner…

This student is an AP Scholar with Distinction and has been a member of National Honor Society since 2019. He is active in many school and community activities including Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders, Quiz Bowl, History Club, and Young Republicans.
