Gear up for the haunting season with the Texas High School Tiger Theatre Company’s performance of Night of the Living Dead.According to a press release from the Texarkana Texas ISD:

Presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company, Night of the Living Dead is a fun and hilarious re-imagining of George A. Romero’s legendary classic. Set in 1968 and presented in all black and white, the production feels like the film has been brought to life and placed onstage. More than just a re-recreation of the story, the play celebrates the history and influence of the movie.

Through a series of multiple endings, the six strangers in a lonely farmhouse surrounded by brain-eating zombies, are all faced with different issues and challenges while desperately trying to survive the night. However, their contrasting personalities and agendas always seem to prevent the group from working together. Which leaves the audience wondering: Could anyone survive a night of the living dead? The Tiger Theatre Company technical crew brings more effects than before to the stage through the use of strobe lights, loud sound effects and fog effects.

Performances will be Friday and Saturday, October 25 & 26 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the John Thomas Theatre, 3941 Summerhill Road.
