A visitor to the Crater of Diamonds Park in Southwest Arkansas found a major gem.

According to the park website, the 36 year old school teacher from Nebraska, Josh Lanik, found the 2.12 carat diamond while in Arkansas on a family vacation. The park which is over 37 acres is located in Murfreesboro a little over 60 mile north of Texarkana.

Recent extremely heavy rain and flooding has caused an increase in the number of visible diamonds according to park staff.
